Here's the long awaited chapter 10! [I'm keeping the 1st Authors Note short, cuz number 2 might be looooooong...] Chapter 10! Ava's P.O.V. It's stupid Saturday! It's the day. Mom left the address and all those details and stuff for me in the kitchen this morning. I had to go over to the other lady's house at 12-ish with Aidan. It's 11:45, I should probably start heading over. Jeez! Why couldn't mom let me continue to not like her and live my own life with Aidan?! I really, really don't want to do this. "Ava! Ava! Ava!" I heard Aidan chanting as he stomped down the hall into the kitchen where I was. "Aidan! Aidan! Aidan!" I mimicked. "Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!" "Okay! Okay! Okay!" I replied. And then he stood there, staring at me, waiting for me to move towards the door. But I didn't because I didn't want to. He kept staring for about 15 more minutes and then he stage-whispered, "Are we going? Are we going? Are we going to Frankie's house now?" "Yes, we are," I replied and finally gave in and let Aidan drag me outside to my car. I opened the car door for Aidan and strapped on his seat belt. Then I got in the car myself, started the car, and headed over to this lady's house. That's when I realized my mom hadn't left any names on the paper! All she wrote that had to do with names was 'Her name is Denise and her sons name is Frankie. Frankie knows Aidan from school! I'm going to be job hunting today and she's running some errands. Neither of us are sure when we'll be back. Denise and I might have lunch or something together before coming home.' Great, I don't even know how long I'm gonna be stuck here! This guy better be cute, because if he isn't this is gonna be hell. About 25 minutes later, we reached Ms. Denise's house. I wonder what her last name is, I should probably find out. I feel really awkward calling her Mrs. Denise. "Yay! We're here! We're here!! I'm going inside to play with Frankie and his awesome brothers!" Aidan shouted in my ear as he hopped out of the car. Wait, did he just say brothers? Like plural? I thought it was one brother! Mom really didn't get her facts straight at all. "No Aidan! Come back here! I have to go in with you," I told him in an extremely strict tone. Aidan stopped in his tracks and waited until I came behind him and held his hand. We walked up to the front entrance of the house together and rang the doorbell. I heard some one running really, really fast and screaming their head off like a little kid. I'm going to assume that was a very, very hyper Frankie. "No, Frankie! Don't answer the door! Your hands have glue and chocolate all over them! Nicholas, why did you let your brother play with the glue AND eat chocolate? Go clean him up and get dressed for your dentist appointment while I get the door," I heard a woman half yelling and half talking. I was laughing inside at the fact that Frankie had managed to get his hands all covered with glue and chocolate. Then the lady swung open the door. She wasn't very tall but she wasn't short either. She had dark curly hair and looked exhausted. Poor her, I can't imagine what it's like living with Frankie. "Oh, hi sweetie! You must be Ava and that must be Aidan! He's adorable!" she said while pinching Aidan's cheeks. I knew Aidan hated when people did that, but I've got to admit, Aidan's cheeks are just screaming 'Pinch me! Pinch me!' "Yes, I am Ava. It's nice to meet you Mrs. Denise," I said politely. Just because my mom wasn't around to teach me manners didn't mean I didn't have any. "Hi Ms. Denise!! I'm Aidan!" Aidan shouted. "Aidan, you don't need to shout! We're all standing right next to you," I told him. "It's okay! You get used to the loudness living in this house. It's nice to meet you both!" she said with a smile on her face. For the next thirty seconds we all stood there awkwardly and silent waiting for some one to say something. "Well, why don't you come inside and I'll go get Frankie and his brother," she said, breaking the awkward silence. I stepped inside the house, which was gorgeous, and covered with pictures of little kids, her sons I assumed. I followed her into the kitchen where I found a very hyper child raiding the fridge. He had opened the milk and poured it on himself and his hands were covered in what looked like the glue and chocolate Mrs. Denise mentioned. "Frankie! What are you doing?!" Mrs. Denise shouted at Frankie. "I'm making chocolate milk on my hands and a milk waterfall! Do you like it mommy?" Frankie shouted back. Oh my, this kid was a handful. Aidan ran up to Frankie to give him a big, fat, bear hug and got milk, chocolate and glue on his clothes. Great job Aidan!
